Quality Improvement at YaFF

All staff and stakeholders at YaFF participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) that supports and monitors the Organisation’s ability to effectively provide evidence based services to clients. There are 4 core components to YaFF’s CQI that also ensures that YaFF has the ability to continually maintain Accreditation with the Quality Improvement Council:

1. Quality Management Systems (QMS)
YaFF monitors its compliance with the 19 Health & Community Services Standards and 2 Alcohol, Tobacco & other Drug (ATOD) Standards, through collaboration with QMS and ongoing maintenance of the YaFF’s own quality management systems.

2. DHHS ‘qualityFutures’
YaFF reports to DHHS regularly to provide evidence that they have met the Quality & Safety Standards Framework for Agency Funded Community Sector Organisations. This process ensures that YaFF meets standards in the following areas:
a. Safe Environment
b. Consumer Focus
c. Workforce
d. Incidents & Feedback
e. Consumer Information
f. Governance

3. Policy/Procedure Review and Development.
YaFF review Policies and Procedures on a 2 year cycle to confirm they are up to date with current laws, regulations, and research. Policies and/or procedures are modified or developed where a gap has been identified. This ensures that the services provided by YaFF are continually up to date with evidence based practices and the requirements of the clients.

4. Feedback Monitoring
YaFF encourage clients, staff and other stakeholders to provide feedback through surveys, evaluations, professional appraisals, and other reports. Being responsive to any compliments and/or complaints safeguards the quality of services offered and improve services where there is need.
